Each year several churches in the small town of Los Gatos, California hold an annual inter-faith Thanksgiving service. The various participating churches rotate the hosting responsibilities amongst themselves each year. This year, the hosting responsibility belonged to the Los Gatos Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I was asked to participate in the service as the organist.

Given the special nature of the occasion, I wrote a free accompaniment for the hymn Prayer of Thanksgiving which I share here. This arrangement was used as the processional as the leaders of the various faiths entered the service. Since I tend to write out my music as completely as possible, I also wrote the introduction and the verses in to keep me from having to go back and forth between the hymnal and the arrangement.
